PCN’s DDI expertise is built on ISC BIND, DHCP, and Kea — the open-source technologies at the core of the internet. From supporting BlueCat and Infoblox to powering our ClearSky DDI service, this foundation drives everything we do.

PCN utilizes ISC Kea to deliver DHCP services through ClearSky DDI, leveraging Kea’s many features that enable customization to meet specific network requirements. Kea is ISC's next-generation DHCP server, replacing the older ISC DHCP server.

Kea supports both IPv4 and IPv6 and is optimized for high-performance, high-availability (HA) environments to enable automatic failover between servers to ensure continuous DHCP service.

Kea also facilitates scalability and centralized management by supporting various database backends for storing lease data and configurations and through its modular design which allows for extensibility through hooks.
