Katrin Hillner and Jon Worman participated in the 2017 Annual CIO Government Technology Conference on June 22, 2017 held in Philadelphia, PA.  This year’s conference focused on the “Value and Vulnerability of the Internet of Things in a Connected State Government.”  Katrin was invited to be part of a panel discussion on STEM Education Next Level – How CIOs Stay Relevant in a Disruptive Environment together with PGW’s Eloise Young and Villanova University’s School of Engineering’s Dr. Stephen Jones.  The CIO Government Technology Conference brings together leading CIOs, CISOs, and government IT executives from across the U.S. to discuss current industry issues, cybersecurity, and cloud computing.  It explores critical topics and challenges impacting government agencies, and emerging technologies that promise to address issues.  The conference strives to create an environment for public and private sector executives to share and explore IT challenges and identify strategies to address short, medium and long term goals.

On June 6th, The Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania’s (TCCP) held its inaugural Women in Technology Awards Gala at Spring Gate Winery in Harrisburg, PA. PCN’s President & CEO, Katrin Hillner, held the position as co-chair and was integral in planning the event. The gala honored thirty one women leaders in technology that were nominated across eight award categories. In addition, the event raised money towards a scholarship fund for female students studying STEM in regional institutions.

 

The event, which hosted over 200 attendees, was a true celebration of women who’ve had an impact in the Central Pennsylvania region. PCN was a sponsor of the Awards Gala, amongst other local organizations. In attendance at the event were fellow PCNers: Shaun Antram, Ashley Branco, Katrin Hillner, Devon Jones, Sam Levy, Rachel Thomas, Charlotte Veazie, and Jon Worman.

PCN delivers a comprehensive portfolio of DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI) managed services and professional consulting to enterprises, service providers, system integrators, and VARs.  Calleva Networks, a boutique IT services firm focused on DDI services and consulting in the UK, will strengthen PCN’s UK market presence and core DDI managed services offering.

PCN’s President and CEO, Katrin Hillner attended the Women’s Business Enterprise Council (WBEC) PA-DE-sNJ “Working to Form a More Perfect Union: Honoring Women in Public Service and Government” Executive Leadership Luncheon on Friday, March 11 at The Union League of Philadelphia in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  The focus of the Leadership Luncheon was Celebrating National Women Making History Month.  The Executive Leadership Luncheon series links women business enterprises with women business executives, supplier diversity and purchasing professionals to gain access to opportunities and to build social & power networks. Panelists at the luncheon included, Angela Dowd-Burton (Executive Director, City of Philadelphia), Beverly Hudson (Deputy Secretary for Administration, Department of General Services) and Councilwoman Marian B.
