(Philadelphia, PA) Philadelphia’s SmartCEO Magazine’s Executive Management Awards (EMAs) honor C-suite executives who have gone above and beyond to support and lead their organizations. SmartCEO recognizes executives in four categories: CFO, CIO/CTO, COO and CXO (other C-suite executives) who uphold the highest ethics, lead collaboratively and creatively, and enhance and support the organization’s mission. An independent committee of local business leaders reviews the EMA nominations and winners are chosen based on the quality of the nominations submitted.

On March 17, PCN’s Charlotte Veazie was nominated and selected as a 2014 award winner. As general counsel to PCN, Charlotte leads contract negotiations and addresses employment, intellectual property, and other corporate legal matters. Charlotte interfaces with PCN’s customer and partner legal teams in a productive, but risk-conscious, manner to ensure PCN’s interests are protected. Charlotte was highlighted in the March/April edition of SmartCEO Magazine. In the magazine, Charlotte is quoted as stating “A successful business endeavor is a collaborative effort by people with different skills, knowledge, and time constraints. Deftly handled, these differences can be a source of strength.”

Charlotte stated one of her greatest challenges and proudest moments in her role as PCN’s general counsel was her involvement establishing a long-term business and contractual relationship with a Fortune top 20 global technology company. One of the key challenges was developing contract agreements that equitably distributed risk with our partners to both protect and further PCN’s interests. The signing of the agreements is one of her proudest moments.

The award ceremony was held March 27, 2014, and was attended by Shaun Antram, a PCN Principal, and Charlotte’s friends and family.
